Retrofit, what is that?

Retrofitting is the replacement of an old control system with a new one. In this way, the life of a machine that still functions reliably mechanically can be extended by many more years. Often, due to technological development, existing technology (e.g. relay controls with buttons) is replaced by current technology (e.g. PLC control with HMI).

Experience counts
